Gulu Scrabble Players Club was formed in 2016. It has a fully constituted executive headed by Eng. Oryem Godfrey as Chairperson. Hon. Ojara Martin Mapenduzi (MP Gulu City West) is the Club’s Patron. The club has a total number of 35 members. The club is located at Wine Garage, senior quarters in Gulu City. It subscribes to Scrabble Association of Uganda (SAU), recognized by National Council of Sports. Our vision is “To be a modest mind sport club in Northern Uganda” and our mission is “To promote scrabble In Acholi sub-region.” Our values.

  • To promote scrabble game in the entire Acholi region.

  • To do all lawful activities that is in conformity with its constitution and does not contravene the constitution of the Republic of Uganda.

    Achievements to date:

  1. The most vibrant scrabble club in Uganda.
  2. Won silver when it hosted the national tournament in April 2021.
  3. Won gold when Mbarara Scrabble Club hosted the national tournament in May 2021.
  4. A member represented Uganda in the international tournament held in India in 2019
